Privacy Policy – DNA MATCH

App for Android and iOS · Last updated: 3 October 2026 · Italiano

In short. DNA MATCH is a game. It does not perform any genetic analysis. Face images and the profiles you create stay only on your device: we do not receive them and we do not send them to any server. The app shows ads through Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising identifier if you give your consent.

1. Data controller

FFZ SRL
Registered office: Via del Melo, 32 – 06024 Gubbio (PG) – Italy
VAT / Tax ID: 02550810549
Privacy contact: pietro@ffz.it

2. What the app does

DNA MATCH compares the facial proportions of two people and shows a fun result (a percentage, a chart that looks like an electropherogram and a "possible relationship"). The "DNA", the markers and the chart are only a graphic representation: this is not a genetic test, and the result does not indicate biological kinship, likelihood of kinship or DNA compatibility.

3. What data is processed and where

The face profile and the thumbnail may constitute biometric data (Art. 9 GDPR). Because they remain exclusively on your device and are not accessible to FFZ SRL or to third parties, the processing takes place under your control; the legal basis is your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)), given by starting the scan.

Other people. If you scan another person's face, make sure you have their consent (for minors, that of the person with parental responsibility). The app is not intended for children under 14 without parental consent.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows ads through Google AdMob (banners, full-screen ads and rewarded ads). For this purpose, and only with your consent where required, Google and its partners may process the device advertising identifier, the IP address, technical device data and your interactions with ads. For these purposes Google acts as an independent controller: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

5. No face data is sent to servers

In the current version the app does not send photos, face points, profiles or thumbnails to us or to third parties. If features that involve sending data to a server are introduced in the future (for example a cloud face-recognition service), this policy will be updated and you will be asked for a separate, explicit consent before anything is sent.

6. Retention and deletion

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data and, where applicable, to data portability; you can withdraw consent at any time (withdrawal does not affect earlier processing). Because the app's data is on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the app. For requests addressed to the controller write to pietro@ffz.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or your local authority.

8. Permissions requested

9. Changes

Any changes to this policy will be published on this page with the update date.
